Creative in Care is a personalised support provider built on the belief that supports should grow and adapt with each individual. With over ten years of experience in the disability sector, Vanessa has seen firsthand the value of an individualised approach, one where your support team is flexible, responsive, and able to adjust as personal and developmental needs evolve.
With this in mind, onboarding with Creative in Care generally follows this process:
OnBoarding Protocol:
-
1. Initial Introduction (complimentary):
Your initial consultation will be completed by our Director, Vanessa. She will meet with the participant or their representative to introduce herself, learn about their needs, and discuss how Creative in Care can best provide support that feels safe, comfortable, and personalised.
-
2. Worker Selection & Meet-and-Greet (included):
We work with the participant to identify a support worker they would like to meet, and arrange a relaxed one-hour meet and greet. If the match doesn’t feel right, there is absolutely no pressure — participants are welcome to meet another carer until they feel confident and comfortable.
-
3. Family / Participant Planning Session (included):
If they choose to continue with the carer they met, Vanessa will arrange a short face-to-face planning session with the participant and/or family.
This session covers: Goal planning, Scheduling, Vanessa’s role as Director and a walkthrough of the Shiftcare app, which provides clear access to schedules and progress notes for participants and their representative. -
4. Commencement of Supports:
Once planning is complete, the chosen carer begins delivering the booked support sessions.
-
5. Ongoing Monthly Check-Ins (included):
Vanessa provides monthly check-ins with the participant or their representative to ensure supports are meeting their expectations, identify what is or isn’t working, and review goals or support needs if adjustments are required.
